Organization Swiss Steam Centre

The association steam centre Winterthur, together with the Foundation steam centre Winterthur, is the sponsor of the Swiss Steam Center. Together they operate the steam center in Winterthur and look after the Vaporama collection.

Our Goal

The Swiss Steam Center makes an important contribution to preserving the industrial culture of our country. We preserve one of the most important collections of steam engines as contemporary witnesses of the Swiss industrial history from the 19th and 20th century.

Become part of our community and help to keep these witnesses of the industrial revolution. There are many ways to get involved, be it in the administration of our center or pass on our knowledge to the visitors.
